How I plan a month of content in two hours (using Notion)

A step-by-step walkthrough of my monthly content planning routine that saves me hours every week.

I used to spend entire Sundays scrambling for post ideas. After testing a dozen systems, I landed on a Notion workflow that cuts my content planning time to just two hours per month.

Here's the gist: I have one master Content Calendar template with a database for each platform. I batch-write 30 post concepts in one sitting, then drag them into a calendar view. Each post gets a status (Draft, Scheduled, Published) and a channel tag. That's it.

The key is to never start from scratch. I keep a 'spark bank' database where I dump ideas as they come — a tweet I saw, a client question, a random thought. On planning day, I pull from that bank and flesh out the best ones. No blank page panic.

Try it: set a timer for 25 minutes, write down every content idea you can think of (no judgment), then pick 8-10 that excite you most. Schedule one per week and watch your consistency skyrocket.
